You Tube

I think you tube has changed the way a lot of people view the internet. I can many people going on you tube daily to see what's new or to watch people comment on videos. The good thing about you tube is that anyone can create videos and display them for anyone to see. I go on you tube to check out old videos or to get songs that I want. This type of media is potentially dangerous because we can get caught up in this fantasy world of thinking everything we view is real when it's not. The use of homemade cameras are coming back into style because of you tube.

The original show was America's Funniest Home Videos where people could send in their home videos and show the rest of the world but now we show the world in a matter of seconds. Nightline just showed us some of the things being watched by millions of people across the world and how it's effecting the shows we watch like "The Office". Personally I don't like my shows being affected by what's on you tube because when writers of shows use that material it goes to show that they have no fresh or new ideas.

FCC vs Google Voice

Ok! The FCC has opened an inquiry into Google Inc.'s phone-management service is restricting calls as regulators figure out how to regulate new-media products. Google Voice, allows people to link all of their phones to one number and to manage calls and messages through a single Web site. It can also be used to send and receive phone calls and text messages. Basically AT&T has asked lawmakers to look into this matter because they say it's hurting rural customers. I don't happen to think that it is hurting those type of customers b/c most homes have computers now and know how to use the internet. The simple fact is that media is moving too fast for the law and they need to catch up. and this about Big bad AT&T getting their piece of the pie for all things that have to do with phone service. They(AT&T) are already the largest provider of telephone service in the US what more do they want, I'm sick of AT&T trying to regulate the way media is moving that's why I'm T-Mobile. lol
