PS3 gets Facebook and XBox 360 gets an iPhone App

Social Networking and showing off basically go hand and hand. Now there will be a new way to show off what you've won via iPhone apps. The Ps3 and Xbox 360 are getting apps in the appStore for download. Coming soon gamers everywhere can post on their profiles what they're doing and what trophies or achievements they've won. I personally would not use an app to do this I could simply go to Facebook.com and write something in it myself. If it's that important to tell people about I feel like what's the rush.

Only truly die hard gamers should use these apps to update to all their friends about what they've done thats new in the world of gaming. I could see myself using the xbox app to check my live status and profile anytime I want. Overall I think this is another innovation that's pushing the world of new media.

Copyright Discussion

Creative Commons is a non-profit organization headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States devoted to expanding the range of creative works available for others to build upon legally and to share.(Wiki) The organization has released several copyright-licenses known as Creative Commons licenses for free to the public. These licenses allow creators to communicate which rights they reserve, and which rights they waive for the benefit of recipients or other creators. I think it's very important to have Creative Commons because this is a way for public domain to be protected. I also like the fact that they are urging the government to be proactive in the information age. They also focus on the protection of intellectual property.

I also think it is important for the government to regulate material online for our protection. I think they haven't done a good job up to this point because things are still very rampant on the internet which kids can get their eyes on. I like the fact that people such as hackers who lurk the internet looking for way to rip people off and steal their identity.

The most important thing in the lesson I learned was the indecency and obscenity it is very important to protect the children from things the community finds indecent.

Facebook on Xbox 360 and other changes

The Microsoft Xbox 360 has now integrated Facebook, Last FM services and Zune network into Xbox. Now people can enjoy their favorite music and connect with friends via all from their Xbox. I have an xbox 360 I have tried these new services and I really like them. I like the fact that you can customize your music and get all the songs you want right out of your home without having to plug in your ipod or put in a CD. The only problem with the Zune is that it doesn't support Windows Media Player but all their movies are streaming in Full 1080p format. I have reconnected with friends with facebook on the xbox also. All my friends online can also be my friends in real life with Facebook.

Verizon To Offer An iPhone Nano?

iphone-nano_01.jpgAccording to an unknown handset maker in Taiwan and other unamed sources a new slimmer iPhone could be coming in the third quarter of 2010. Verizon is the carrier that is being mentioned but for right now it's all speculation and rumors. I think a new Iphone would be nice since the one now is pretty bulky and not pocketfriendly.

In my opinion I think a new iPhone would be good for Verizon to launch because they seem like good competition for ATT. I think ATT isn't doing themselves any favors by not letting users take full advantage of it's worldwide features such as tethering. I hope the new phone does come out on Verizon because I think they have better coverage and better customer service.
